SAFE GYM RULES

Please read these procedures and rules carefully as they are here to ensure safe and enjoyable gymnastics classes.

• ·         Sign in and out of each class. Parents / Carers staying in the building must sign in the Visitor’s book.
• ·         Get changed and ready for classes in the changing rooms. No outdoor shoes to be worn in gym. You are responsible for your own belongings at all times.
• ·         Wear gymnastics clothing or T-shirt and shorts or leggings. No socks.
• ·         No jewellery is to be worn in any class.
• ·         Hair must be tied back at all times.
• ·         Bring a water bottle into the class, it can be topped up at the water fountain. No fizzy drinks in the gym.
• ·         The coach is responsible for children from the gym doors onwards. They will deliver them back from the gym door at the end of the session. Children will wait in            the gym until someone arrives to collect them.
• ·         No parent / carer can watch classes from the balcony except during specified viewing weeks.
• ·         If you are not in the gym and the fire alarm sounds DO NOT go to the gym, exit straight out the nearest fire exit and wait outside the hotel next door. All children in            the gym will be escorted out the fire exits in the gym by the coaches.
• ·         All children must have completed and returned to Zodiak Gymnastic Club medical forms and registration forms containing emergency contact details.
• ·         All children must have completed and returned to Zodiak Gymnastic Club a Scottish Gymnastics Insurance form and paid an annual premium.
• ·         Zodiak Gymnastic Club is registered with Scottish Gymnastics and all coaches are qualified and insured.
• ·         Zodiak Gymnastic Club will always have at least 1 coach for every 8 children in the gym.
• ·         There will always be at least 1 first aider in the building during class times.
• ·         Zodiak Gymnastic Club follows Scottish Gymnastics Child Protection Policy which can be obtained at www.scottishgymnastics.org
• ·         Zodiak Gymnastic Club Child Protection Officer is Marie Chandler. If children or parents have any concerns about any child’s welfare whilst at Zodiak Gymnastic            Club classes please contact her at info@zodiakgc.co.uk or 01383 735453.
• ·         All Zodiak Gymnastic Club coaches have been through checks to ensure they are suitable to work with children and undergo regular training in child protection            awareness.
